you would be happier being rich.
In 1980 I had $5.00 in my pocket and I needed to buy milk for my son. I was a single mother and it was a struggle. We went to the store to buy milk and when I reached in my pocket, no money. Oh poo! I looked down at my little boy and said we have to go I lost my money. He put his hands in his pocket and gave me a string and a nickel. Here Mom. I wanted to cry but had to be strong.
I found the $5.00 on the dining room table and told myself I am not happy being broke. I was determined to never be in this situation ever again.
Today I’m looking towards retirement; I’ve been working full time since I graduated from high school. I took a few accounting classes in college in the 90s that helped me in my current job as an Accountant.
When I retire I just want to be an artist. Wake up and go for a walk, come home take a shower and then paint. I might never be rich, but I’ll never be broke. I’ll be happy.
