is Who I am
Are you a creative? Do you have just one creative passion? Or are you like me? I created this post and the website using the WordPress software.
I like to reflect back on what was my first creative passion. I would have to say sewing. I taught myself to sew when my kids were little. I made their summer shorts, made myself clothes. I love to sew and loved shopping for material. Do you sew?
Another passion is making jewelry but realized that this might have been my first. When my sister was in high school she made earrings and would sell them at the flea market. I remember going with her to the local bead store, Beadazzle to purchase all her supplies. I used her tools as an adult and continue a passion for jewelry making even though there are no local bead stores anymore. Do you jewelry? earrings, bracelets, necklaces, rings? Check out my jewelry here on my website. Gonna show more photos using wordpress posts.

I started drawing/painting around 2008 or later when my beautiful cat Pookie died. Started on my iPad using the procreate app. Oh last night I downloaded the app Da Vinci Eye, can’t wait to learn all about it. From the iPad to the canvas, clothes, hats. I want to paint my dining room chairs but I know Danny will not approve.
Love to crochet and taught myself how to knit when I was going through chemo in 2020. Again, my mom sort of taught me how to crochet probably before I sewed. I learned to read patterns and I have a massive inventory of yarn. I’m working on a tote bag. I love crocheting. Do you knit or crochet or both?

Burning hats with a hand tool was a passion for a bit which I’m sure I’ll swing by it again because that’s how I am.

Recently my laptop took a dive and I had to get it swiped. Which means all my files on it were gone. Not that big of a deal because I back up to an external hard drive. Past experience has taught me to do that. I realized I pay for adobe software on a monthly basis so I can use Lightroom for my photography. Another passion of mine that started before digital cameras.

I took this photo over the past weekend. I had a fun time at the Martinez marina in California. Later that day I had the chills. Two days later I tested positive for Covid. I tested today on Friday and I’m still testing positive. I could go sit outside and take photos of the birds that fly into my backyard. Or I could…
Paint women’s face, another passion of mine that you can cruise through photos of them on my website. www.raquelamaral.com
Are you an artist, watercolor, acrylic, oil; what’s your medium? Love to know.
