My website

on WordPress is about to expire 3/16/23. I don’t know whether or not I should renew it for another year.

I have put a lot of work into building it with images of art, jewelry and the written word. If I don’t renew it what will happen to all the content?

I can afford to renew it so perhaps I will and just make a promise to myself to create more posts.

I am working on necklace sets using beads and crystals. Makes me wonder why I didn’t focus on sets in the beginning. I have tons of beads, crystals, findings. I love buying them and stringing them. Or wrapping wire around them.

I want to participate in craft fairs this year. Writing down that sentence reminds me to renew my Concord Art Association membership. I think I saw an email from the CAA reminding me recently.

I want to have some Pop ups in my yard this year. Even though I will have to check the weather forecast. Also have to figure out how to get more traffic to stop and get out of their cars. I know posting street signs take a lot of effort with little to no results. I would be out in my yard every weekend when I’m retired doing Pop ups. Hmmm I’m thinking it’s a good time to get started building a reputation.

Do you have a website?

Please don’t close your site. Your art is beautiful. I have a couple of them.

  2. Hi Raquel — I don’t know if you can save your website’s content if you close it down. I think if you like having a website as a place to post your thoughts and your art, you should keep it if you can. I do have a website, but I don’t have it set up to sell my work. But I do like having it, and when I apply for entry into an art/craft faire, I can give them my website link, which is handy, and that way they can see what my work looks like. Also, people who do contact me can look through my body of work and get an idea of what I do. I did have an Etsy site for awhile (I still have it but it is inactive), and that works for selling, but isn’t all that great for your writing comments, etc. Anyway, those are my thoughts. You should do what makes you happy. My website is at JaneRussellMosaics.com, in case you are interested. Best, Jane
